Compare the Best Bowflex Machine

Years ago, I had one the best Bowflex Xtreme workout machines along with one of  Bowflex’s series 3 treadmills.  At the time the Consumer Product Safety Commission reported some issues with seats prompting Bowflex to recall around 800,000 machines.

I wasn’t too impressed and I embarrassingly admit using the Bowflex Xtreme  in the beginning as a clothes hanger and tool bench. Until I GOT SERIOUS and started consistently setting aside time in the early mornings for about 30-40 minutes did I begin to truly see Bowflex as one of my best home gyms ever.

My brother-in-law (a pretty big guy) got involved and watched him slim down #30 pounds!   And he merely used the manual!  Bowflexs’ user manual has one of the best workout routines in the world?!?  It’s clean and simple…and includes the Bowflex diet and exercise plan…and you drink a lot of water!

I’m currently reviewing and comparing an upgrade to either the Bowflex Revolution or the Ultimate Home gym.  Whatever I decide I’ll be buying via. Bowflex’s website.

You still can’t buy Bowflex at your local Sports store. And unless you like playing Russian roulette you don’t want to take a gamble on buying a Bowflex gym on Ebay. As a power seller I see lots of surprised, dissatisfied Bowflex consumers who blindly buy off of a stock photo. You don’t want to get stuck with an abused machine. (Don’t Buy Bowflex on Ebay.)

Which model is the best Bowflex machine for 2011?

I’ve read numerous consumer reports and epinions reviews on Bowflex treadmills and workout machines (currently they don’t manufacture elliptical machines.)

Currently, the best Bowflex Home Gyms or workout machines are (ranking from best to budget friendly):

#1 Bowflex Revolution Home Gym: 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!

Best Bowflex Home Gym1 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount! This is Nautilus’ best Bowflex machine namely due to it’s NASA Spiroflex technology and overall versatility.  Some the most effective and best Bowflex exercises are equipped on the Revolution.  Using its new Spiraflex technology (Click here to compare Spiraflex vs. power rods) you can perform over 100 different exercises with 400 ways to vary those exercises starting from your neck down to your calves. The price tops out at around $3,000.  But you can do better with the latest and best Bowflex discount 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount! out right now.  A free machine attachment and mat is available at checkout if you use that link.

Attachments are a bit pricey.  For example Bowflex’s ‘lat tower’ attachment runs for about $199.   One clutter saving add-on is Bowflex XP accessory racks that runs about the same price. Nice looking, rugged and helpful for keeping things organized. I also have the Bowflex SelecTech 552 Dumbells. Lots of weight you can quickly change. Best of all it’s a big, big space saver.

Probably the the best Bowflex attachment to consider is the SelectTech 5.1 Series bench. The incline is great for isolating the upper pec’s and delts.

The Boxflex Revolution XP home gyms are the step down version that offers 10 less exercise options but all the core exercise movements you need for each muscle group and then some are there. Again, depending on what you’re wanting to focus on you can add or remove to suit you.

Revolution warranties are super: 10 years

#2 Bowflex Ultimate 2 Home Gym: 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!

bowflex ultimate 2 gym1 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount! When you compare Bowflex’s Revolution vs. Ultimate 2 home gym you’re looking at Spiraflex vs. Power rod technology. The Spiraflex is about 90 pounds lighter then the rod. However, both offer similar exercise options except there’s no “Freedom Arms” exercise with the Ultimate 2 rods.

Also you should take note that the Ultimate 2 gym needs a minimum 7′ 4” of clearance to fit in your workout room.   Whereas the Revolution clearance height needs only a mere 6’1”.

The Ultimate 2 will save you around $500 coming in at $2,499 (not including any discounts). That price is contingent again on what options you go with. Theris a whopping 12 year warranty (lifetime on the power rods) on the Ultimate machines.

#3 Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym: 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!

2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!Moving down the ladder you have the Xtreme 2 SE that offes 70 exercises (about 30 less than the Revolution) but still the Xtreme 2 accounts for all your muscle groups.  Again, the power rod technology needs 83” of clearance.

Many Bowflex user reviews and consumer reports  have noticed significant results in as little as 3 weeks with this machine.  The Xtreme 2 allows you to work out faster than Bowflex Xtreme since there are no pully changes.  For more resistance exercise you can buy 50 rod extensions.  Assembly is required but unlike most Bowflex manuals are pretty clean to follow.

The Xtreme 2 SE warranty is limited to 7 years (lifetime on the rods).

Current pricing not including the latest and best Bowflex discount 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount! is 2,499.

#4 Bowflex Classic Home Gym: 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!

bowflex classic logo 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!Bowflex’s Classic machines are stripped down version of the Ultimate 2 home gyms. The power rods are fewer but you still get 30+ exercises that cover your major muscle groups and most minor muscle groups. There’s no lat pull down bar with the Classic that you get in the Ultimate but you can still hit the lats using the rods with some creativity.

The pros of the Bowflex Classic gym is that it is significantly cheaper at only $649 or more than $2,300

less than the Revolution. That’s a cheap Bowflex machine. Warranty is limited to 5 years (lifetime on the rods).

If you’re serious about working out at home and want to look like that 50 year old Donna McClure Bowflex model than seriously look at the best Bowflex you’re money can buy: the Revolution (along with a Yowza elliptical machine) is a quick way to transform your fat into lean muscle. Otherwise a good starter yet reliable home workout gym would be Bowflex’s budget friendly Xtreme or Classic models.

Bowflex Update: Save Up To $100! Save $25 when you spend over $200, Save $50 when you spend over $350 and Save $100 when you spend over $500. 2011 Best Bowflex Home Gyms: Compare and Get a Discount!
